The Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma (DELE), is the only official diploma that accredits knowledge of Spanish at international level.

DELE

This diploma is awarded by the Cervantes Institute in the name of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture.

DELE certificates do not expire, and are organised by level according to the directives of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

According to this scale, a diploma of linguistic competence is available for every level of the language: DELE A1, DELE A2, DELE B1, DELE B2, DELE C1 and DELE C2.

BCN Languages is part of the FEDELE Palma de Mallorca Examination Centre and offers different DELE exam dates, which can be consulted on the official web http://examenes.cervantes.es/

CCSE

BCN Languages is one of the examination centres for the tests necessary for the concession of Spanish nationality.

According to the two laws passed in 2015 relative to the processes necessary for the obtention of Spanish nationality, one of the prerequisites is to pass two tests administered by the Cervantes Institute.

  • The DELE diploma, A2 or higher: which accredits basic knowledge of the Spanish language, (only for non Spanish speakers).
  • CCSE: test of constitutional and socio-cultural knowledge of Spain, this validates
  • knowledge of the Spanish constitution as well as of culture and the social reality.
  • For the tests: those under 18 years of age and those with modified legal capacity are exempt.
  • In addition, for the DELE: those nationals of Spanish speaking countries and territories
  • are exempt.

How do you register for the exam?

Registration for the CCSE exam and the payment of fees is done on the web https://examenes.cervantes.es/

Price?

The price of the CCSE is 85€. Payment methods available: credit and debit cards, and via Paypal.

What is the test like?

The test is made up of a total of 25 multiple choice questions, and lasts a maximum of 45 minutes.

How do I prepare for the test?

With the CCSE manual, which can be accessed once you have registered via the Cervantes webpage. The CCSE manual contains the syllabus to be studied, as well as 300 multiple choice questions.

Test results?

20 days after taking the test, you can consult results here.
